Sachin Tendulkar! What is next?

2010 February 24

Sachin Tendulkar 200* in ODI

Sachin Tendulkar 200* in ODI, Cricinfo.

Am I late to the party, probably is as lot of people are getting hits they only dream for 1 liner “Sachin you are God” so well done guys, actually well done Sachin you did it for all.

I don’t want to do any disrespect so first a tribute to the one who deserve it yes you Sachin Tendulkar, this is and will probably (yeah probably, pitches these days and bloody ODI rules made 300 even possible) be an iconic inning in ODI cricket for years. Sachin truly deserved it as he is not just another one with a super lucky day on a * flattest* pitch,  he did for last 20 years and he did it everywhere regardless of pitch and conditions. All hails Sir Sachin Tendulkar.

Now a bit of rant, BCCI do anyone in you know how to make “Good” pitches yeah making little motorways in the middle of the ground isn’t good and not even good for cricket. oh home advantage? crowed puller? crazy fans? strong batting line up? mediocre bowling lineup? excuse me? are you going to play all your cricket in India? as you are doing in last million months? oh you played Champion Trophy out of India (Sub-continent) last year, what was the result? I just forgot it seems so far away sorry nut mind me.

Back to Sachin, well dear Sachin even though you already fulfilled most of what a cricket or cricketer fan could wish for but may I request you for something which is not much for you as we all know. Can you do all this for my grand sons oh well at least for my son please? No he isn’t around yet, even I am not married yet but hopefully he will be and he would love cricket as his dad (mom too ;) ) do. Yes, I know you already doing it for last 20 years but I also know you can do it for next 20 years too, no? Seriously guys the way he is playing I am sure he will continue like this for next 10 year at least, no?

Am I asking too much? think of me as a crazy fan they always do such things. But hey I do expect couple of things from you don’t disappoint me? What? oh yeah here they are

  • 20,000+ ODI runs.
  • 50 – 75 ODI hundreds.
  • 15,000+ Test runs.
  • 50 – 75 Test hundreds.
  • A triple hundred in test (at least one?).
  • More and more runs in winning cause, don’t let your bowlers/team ruin the match.

Hey wait I have some more, okay two more, oh come on guys last one? hey get your hands off me you bloody cop. Ah, well security, Sachin has such idiot security guards :( Bye Bye Sachin *hand wave*. See you around with another such feat, keep it coming.

NOTE: This post is about Sachin Tendulkar’s  world record 200 not out against South Africa in 2nd ODI, Gwalior, February 24, 2010. ( SEO trick ;) )

No you are not too late for the party, the cake is huge, there is a piece (or a crumb) for everyone; 5,000 posts about Sachin is better than 4,999; ask any Sachin fan around ;)

    Wes’ last blog:

He would like to score a match winning hundred in the 2011 world cup final.

  7. February 25, 2010

oh that is quite a wishful thought let see and wait , will this world cup be interesting as compared to last two?

May not be as they seem to have gone back to the 96 world cup format with better teams almost guaranteed a place in the quarterfinals.

It seems like Tendulkar would like to win a world cup before he retires and he would surely like to do well in crucial matches in the world cup.

Anyway here is my cricket blog.

Hey greyblazer and Maza nice to see you.

New Zealand getting played by Redbacks (and the whole minor rest)

  11. February 26, 2010

I like your post. It was wonderful performance by Sachin.
Congrats to Sachin Dear Little Master.

Glorious World Record Moments – Sachin Tendulkar 200 Runs

  12. February 26, 2010

Actually, it would be sad if he retired without a World Cup to his name.

  13. February 26, 2010

I think the odds of scoring a match winning 100 in the WC final are less than what Sachin did in getting to 200.

  14. February 26, 2010

    I know what’s after 200…it’s 201 :)

  15. February 26, 2010

hahaha lolz Stani, He is just not saying he is a determined person and not only best batsman but a great person not proud like some other. So I wish him best of luck for everything and even a WC Final 100 as far as it is not against Pakistan (Odds of Pakistan in final is actually very less :D )

  16. February 27, 2010

    what a player.

i believe after his 200*, he must be thinking to get his first tiple century in tests, writing on the cards but India not playing test at their home ground in coming year, are they?

  17. March 1, 2010

right and a triple in test will really test his fitness, he is capable of doing it anywhere but still we can more fancy it at home and India is playing a lot of home recently so it is time to go out and taste the world and let see where our world #1 stands.

  18. March 1, 2010

Haha Yasser! Too bad for him, isn’t it. I bet if he could he would change the schedule.

On a sidenote, where to get info about the Indian schedule? Cricinfo, strangely, knows nothing (!?)

~ Play For Country Not For Self ~

  19. March 1, 2010

Cricinfo only put up confirmed fixtures not probables or in talks fixtures so this might be found at either BCCI site or some crazy indian fan ‘s :D

But I think there must be 1 or 2 series at home at least ;)

    http://icc-cricket.yahoo.net/match_zone/ftp.php

i checked sometime ago on above site, it’s ftp arranged by ICC, though as expected India bent it according to their financial need/lust. Rahul Dravid recently mentioned in his interview India needs a fixed test calendar schedule but BCCI is totally running behind the money.

  21. March 2, 2010

The Indian test problems will all come to an end under the reign of:

  22. March 26, 2010

oh well IPL was the next, I am only loving and jumping into IPL highlights bcoz of Sachin what a way to play T20, all the Yousuf Pathans, McCullams, Boom Boom, and every other un-heard of slogger is hiding their face in pillows these days.

    Way to go Sachin.

He sucks. FK HIM!. He is a chokedulkar. Useless stat whore!. Psst!.

  24. March 26, 2010

lolz that is some debate that either he is real match winner or just a run machine but I was talking about his style and approach of batting in T20

  25. March 27, 2010

► Yousuf retires from international cricket

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  26. April 7, 2010

I’ve looked at a match between Pakistan and India (feat. Sachin!!!) that was played several years ago. So sad that this was all before my time:

A match I would have loved to watch

    including video! :P

  27. April 8, 2010

oh well that was probably the last memorable test win for Pakistan, right anybody?

That was also the rise of a great career of Asif which soon went wayward due to his stupid activities.
